Younique Makeup Review – The Company

Younique is a network marketing company that was found in September 2012 by brother and sister team Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft. The company’s mission is to “uplift, empower, and validate women across the world”.

Mr. Maxfield has a past experience in network marketing business. He founded a company called Netseps that made it onto the Inc 500 list in 2010. In 2009, Netseps reported $5.1 million in revenue.

Maxfield is still an expert in MLM businesses as Younique generated $2.06 million in sales by the end of 2013, just one year after it was officially launched. By the end of 2014, they had achieved the target of 100,000 active affiliates.

Younique is definitely unique in that they promote their products almost exclusively via social media networks.

Younique Makeup Review – The Compensation Plan

Like most network marketing business opportunities out there, Younique has an exceptional compensation plan. You earn money with Younique by sponsoring new people into the business and selling the company’s products. In the Younique world, sales representatives or affiliates are known as presenters. So, what is unique about this company? As mentioned earlier, the business market almost exclusively through social media networks.

Presenters must be sponsored or recruited by an active member, and must pay an upfront fee of $99 for a “New Presenter Kit”. The Presenter Kit comes with the following benefits:

· Free personal website with e-commerce capability

· Start at “White Status” and get to go to Youniversity Training Academy

· Virtual Party System and many other tools to get you started

· Having a Younique party means that you have to use social networks to promote the products and make sales. In addition, you can also choose a traditional home party if that is your style.

· Move through Younique presenter ranks. The white color represents the beginner status (the lowest rank) while the black color represents the highest rank.

Every member starts at the white lever where they earn a commission of 20% on their sales. You purchase a new presenter kit at $99 and sell it at $125 within the next three months to remain an active member. You can choose to purchase the kit at $125 yourself, as long as Younique logs the $125 from you, you are good to stay. These products are usually sold through virtual parties on social media networks.

Once you manage to sell at least $1,000 worth of products, you will move to the yellow level. Once you get to this level, you will be earning a commission of 25% on your sales.

Pink is the next level, where you have to sponsor at least one person into the business. This is a good status as the business depends more on new presenters and every time you recruit a new presenter you get paid. You will be required to sell at least $250 worth of products and the presenters that you personally recruited should sell at least $2,000 worth of products for you to maintain this status.

You will earn a commission of 25% from your personal sales and 3% from the sales of people under you (Younique calls them your “circle”). The amount of money that you earn increases exponentially with the increase in your personal sales and that of your circle. This is why it is wise to sponsor as many people as you can if you want to be a top earner at Younique.

Once you recruit a certain number of presenters, the amount of money that you must contribute is reduced. This means that you will have more time to find new people and encourage them to join the business.

Is Younique Makeup A Scam?

Younique has a lot of products to promote and sell to retail customers. This means that it is legit and not a scam or a pyramid scheme. The only way to become a top earner with Younique is to recruit as many people as you can and work on your marketing skills.

Younique Makeup Scam

Conclusion

As you can see from the company’s compensation structure, the only way to succeed here is to sell the products and recruit more and more presenters. So, if you are thinking about joining the business, make sure that you have tested their products and see how they work. This will make it easier for you to explain how the products work to a new person that you are trying to recruit.
